HIVE

Uniforms of black, and yellow, clad in gasmask, and visor, with rifle in hand they descend upon the outside on patrols, and missions..
H.I.V.E (Human Integrated Variable Environment) was originally a mega-city structure designed for modular human living, the modules interchangable and still achieve the same goal, thus making every HIVE unique. Many were impregnable, making them monoliths in the cities of old, those that survived within had truly thrived while the outside fell into pandemonium.
HIVE lost it's meaning over the years, and became the name of their people instead, the outer combs of the hive are accessible by outsiders, used for trade mostly, but the inner rings remain purely reserved for citizens.
They thrive using the technology of old, trading with other HIVEs, and using manufacturing combs of their hives to build parts that are otherwise completely irreplaceable.

HIVE started as a human habitat project to help lower impact on the environment, the HIVE project was started by the HIVE's eternal leader "Cyrill Antonov" who had laid down tenants for those who live in the HIVEs after the war had gone awry.. tenants that the inhabitants of the HIVEs live by, and die by.
1: The outside is dangerous, deadly, and dark. the inside of the HIVE is your safety, haven, and home. 2: To every citizen, a soldier. 3: Outsiders must remain outside, at the outer rings, for their kind is barbaric, and untrustworthy.
